A new era. A new platform. A new purpose.
Johannesburg, South Africa – September 2026: Miss Supranational South Africa is entering an exciting new chapter, creating a renewed national platform for ambitious South African women to be seen, developed and given the opportunity to represent their country on the world stage.
More than one moment on stage, the programme will offer its titleholder a year of purpose, influence and opportunity. It will seek to identify an exceptional South African woman who embodies confidence, authenticity, aspiration and the ability to inspire others – while preparing her to compete internationally at Miss Supranational.
Founded in Poland in 2009, Miss Supranational brings women from across the world together in celebration of their aspirations, dreams and potential. Its international philosophy places emphasis on authenticity, personal development and service through its From the Ground Up community initiative. The global community is built around unity, aspiration and shared opportunity.
South Africa already holds a proud place in the competition’s history. In 2022, Lalela Mswane became the first South African woman to win the Miss Supranational crown, demonstrating the extraordinary potential of South African women on the international stage. Her reign included advocacy addressing unemployment and cyberbullying.
The next chapter of Miss Supranational South Africa will unfold under the directorship of Joani Jacobs and the team behind the Mrs South Africa organisation, bringing extensive experience, proven systems and a strong track record in developing women and producing respected national platforms.
Jacobs has more than 20 years of experience in the modelling and pageant industries. She is the founder of Ace Models International, established in 2005 and now represented through more than 30 franchises, and has led the Mrs South Africa organisation since 2011.
“This is not simply about selecting a woman to compete internationally. It is about creating a meaningful platform that gives South African women the opportunity to grow, discover their purpose and use their influence positively. Our titleholder will carry South Africa onto the world stage, but her journey and impact will extend far beyond that one moment.”
– Joani Jacobs, National Director
The renewed programme will take contestants through a national search and development journey designed to prepare them for both the responsibility of the title and the international opportunity ahead.
Further information regarding entries, national castings and the official selection process will be announced soon.
A NEW ERA. A NEW PLATFORM. A NEW PURPOSE.
South Africa, let’s go Supra.
