Mrs South Africa 2025 and NPO inspire Thembisa girls to dream big

In a transformative initiative, Mrs South Africa 2025 teamed up with The Blessed Generation Foundation to host a preliminary competition for 120 Grade 11 girls from Thembisa, encouraging hope, ambition and empowerment.

In a collaboration aimed at inspiring hope and ambition, Mrs South Africa 2025 partnered with The Blessed Generation Foundation NPO to host a preliminary competition for 120 Grade 11 girls from Thembisa and surrounding schools on November 13.

The initiative sought to uplift young women facing social challenges and encourage them to envision a brighter future.

Participating schools included Eqinisweni Secondary School, Kaalfontein Secondary School, Thembisa SOS, Ingqiyizivele High School, Phumlong High School and Umqhele High School.

The event not only showcased the talents of the young women but also offered them an opportunity to dream beyond their present circumstances.

“Hope exists beyond the social issues that may be affecting you in your community,” Pumeza Nomonde Phiwani, known as MamaChery, of The Blessed Generation Foundation, said.

The competition was designed to be far more than a glamorous evening of lights, hair, makeup and gowns. It became a transformative experience for the participants, who were affectionately referred to as “princesses” throughout the night.

A special message of congratulations was extended to the finalist class of 2025 for their dedication to a shared vision.

“Last night, you turned it into a transformative experience for over 100 princesses from schools across Tembisa, allowing them to enjoy a spectacular show and envision a future where any dream is a reality,” she added.

“This event highlighted the strength, resilience and determination of young women, reinforcing the message that they can be heroes in their own lives,” said Phiwani.

The collaboration was made possible through the support of various organisations and individuals who contributed their time and resources.

A heartfelt message of thanks was extended to all who played a role, underscoring the importance of community involvement in making such initiatives successful.
