Mrs. SA Pty Ltd Terms and Conditions

1. Mrs. South Africa Pty Ltd (hereafter referred to as “Mrs. SA”) is a Proprietary Limited Company incorporated within South Africa, with a Board of Directors

5. Mrs. SA BEE Status: Level Four BEE Contributor (EME – BBEE/MSBP2014/01)
6. Mrs. SA is not a Charity, nor a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), nor Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). Therefore, Mrs. SA is not authorised to issue Section 18A tax certificates for any payments received
7. Mrs. SA’s Board of Directors ensures corporate governance and ethics
8. Mrs. SA prides itself on strict adherence to all South African government laws and regulations
9. Mrs. SA operates primarily on a sponsorship-based business model. This means the company partners with other businesses or organisations that provide financial support i.e. sponsorship in exchange for exposure, advertising or other benefits
10. Mrs. SA also generates income through its official events
11. The income from sponsorship and events is used to cover:
11.1. Mrs. SA Development Program: The income helps fund the program that provides contestants with the resources, tools, training and support needed to grow and develop, throughout the competition
11.2. Training and upskilling for contestants: workshops, webinars, and other education opportunities aimed at improving contestants’ skills, whether in their personal development, business acumen or any other specific area related to the competition
11.3. Operational costs: Day-to-day expenses of running the Mrs. SA program including staffing, and other company overheads
11.4. Event costs: Expenses related to hosting official Mrs. SA events such as venues, catering etc
11.5. Production costs: Covers the filming, editing, broadcasting and associated technical requirements etc., of official Mrs. SA events

12. The Mrs. SA Programme
12.1. Mrs. SA is positioned as a “PR vehicle” for brands, sponsors & contestants, who derive a substantial return on investment, from this partnership
12.2. Mrs. SA prides itself on transparency and professionalism
12.3. The Mrs. SA journey requirements are therefore outlined, in detail, up front to all contestants
12.4. Contestants are then able to make an informed decision on whether to enter the program or not – fully informed about the journey they have chosen to embark on
12.5. Semi-finalists and Finalists then sign an official contract with Mrs. SA, confirming their participation
12.6. The Mrs. SA Brand pillars include:
12.6.1. Self-Development,
12.6.2. Community,
12.6.3. Network, and
12.6.4. Platform
12.7. These brand pillars highlight the aspects of the Mrs. SA programme and pageant
12.8. In the programme, there is a focus on business skills and life skills, which extend far beyond the Mrs. SA journey
12.9. This is structed into a formal curriculum, for contestants, yearly
12.10. Contestants are exposed to a wealth of knowledge from Mrs. SA, its official sponsors, its associates, other subject matter experts, throughout the curriculum
12.11. Mrs. SA Management team provides regular ongoing support to the Contestants including but not limited to: Workshops, Webinars, 1:1 sessions & calls, Support Sessions, PR support and press releases; Social Media support and coaching; Upskilling etc
12.12. Mrs. SA provides extensive training, upskilling workshops and regular webinars, to contestants, on becoming successful influencers, brand ambassadors and entrepreneurs
12.13. Mrs. SA provides contestants with tools such as professional sponsorship proposals, media kits, for them to use in approaching companies and media
12.14. Mrs. SA provides the platform to contestants, which can they leverage to build their own brand, and the contestants recognise and understand the nature of the platform
12.15. The proposal offers potential Silver and Gold Sponsors the opportunity to gain additional exposure on our platforms and at our events, and offers them a significant return on investments from these partnerships
12.16. Contestants will have the opportunity to effect change within their communities, through the Mrs South Africa platform
12.17. Contestants will be exposed to Mrs. SA’s officially affiliated charity organisations and other various community projects throughout the year
12.18. Mrs. South Africa works with all contestants to allow them the maximum time possible to achieve their targets and requirements
12.19. Mrs. SA provides the tools necessary, to achieve these targets
12.20. The Mrs South Africa Management Team provides continuous guidance and mentorship to contestants, throughout their journey
12.21. The Mrs. South Africa Management Team also endeavours to work one-on-one with its contestants
12.22.Mrs. SA will provide access to other sources of support to the Semi-finalists, including but is not limited to the management team, official mentorship panel, modelling schools, coaches, subject matter experts, speakers etc.
12.23. An Official Mentorship Panel is available should contestants require more direct one-on-one coaching. However, this is not compulsory to utilise by contestants
12.24. A fee will be payable to an official mentor for her time and expertise
12.25. Although the mentorship program is endorsed by Mrs. SA, Mrs. SA does not benefit financially from this independent program. Official mentor details are available on the Mrs. SA website

13. Mrs. SA Competition
Contestants progress through the following phases of the competition, yearly:
13.1. Entry: Entries typically open in November and close in January of the following year. All entries are screened by Mrs. SA team to ensure they meet the minimum requirements
13.2. National Casting: Contestants who meet the entry requirements will be invited to a National Casting, typically late January or early February, where the Semi-finalists will be chosen
13.3. Semi-Finalist Phase: Typically runs from February until July each year, culminating in the Semi- final Showcase, which is typically in July each year
13.4. Finalist Phase: The Top 30 finalists are announced at the Semi-final Showcase, typically in July. The finalist phase runs from July until November each year
13.5. Crowning: The Preliminary competition and Grand Finale typically takes place in November, where the new titleholders, including the new Mrs. South Africa, is chosen from the pool of Finalists
13.6. Mrs. SA official events during each phase of the competition, are highlighted on Mrs. SA’s official calendar of events annually
13.7. Mrs. SA reserves the right to alter it calendar yearly as it deems fit

14. Contestant’s Requirements
Contestants are required to meet and comply with specific obligations and requirements, through the various phases of the competition, as noted above. These requirements are:
14.1. Contestants should uphold the ethos and values of Mrs. SA and its brand
14.2. Contestants should be professional and accommodating to Mrs. SA Management Team, its official sponsors and charities and their reasonable requirements
14.3. Contestants must be a positive brand ambassador for Mrs. SA and its pageant, official sponsors and official charities as well as ensure maximum and positive publicity for same
14.4. Semi-Finalists must secure a Silver Sponsorship towards their journey in the competition
14.5. Finalists must a secure Gold Sponsorship towards their journey in the competition
14.6. Mrs. SA caps the silver and gold sponsorship amounts, that contestants raise towards their journey, to ensure all contestants enter Judging on all equal footing. Ultimately, the Mrs. SA crown is not for sale
14.7. Contestants are expected to sell tickets to the Mrs. SA official events
14.8. Contestants are involved in the promotion of the Mrs. SA Official Sponsors
14.9. During the Finalists stages of the competition, a finalist will host a fundraiser for one of Mrs SA’s official charities. After Mrs. South Africa’s operational costs are covered for managing the fundraising project, the proceeds are then donated to the official charities, at end of the campaign. Thirty percent
(30%) is retained for Mrs. South Africa’s operational costs noted above and seventy percent (70%) i.e. the majority, is donated to the charities at the end of the Mrs. SA campaign
14.10. The Semi-finalist will bear the cost of her travel, accommodation, meals, outfits, hair and makeup, throughout her journey as a Semi-finalist, as there are over a hundred contestants at this stage
14.11. During the Finalist stages of the competition, travel will be to the Finalist’s own cost
14.12. Mrs. South Africa covers the accommodation and meals during the Top 30 Finalist stage of the competition, subject to sponsorship
14.13. Contestants acknowledge that all travel (both local and abroad) in relation to this Agreement is to her own account and is done so at the Contestant’s own risk
14.14. Contestants acknowledge and understand that any monies paid to Mrs. SA and/or its official charities, prior to resignation or withdrawal is non-refundable at any stage, subject to the provisions of prevailing South African Law

15. Mrs. SA’s Judging Process
15.1. Mrs. South Africa follows a strictly audited Judging process, overseen seen by independent auditors, PKF Octagon
15.2. PKF Octagon oversee the judging processes at the National Casting (typically end January/early February), Semi-final Judging (typically July) & Final Judging (typically November), yearly
15.3. PKF Octagon verify that the Mrs. SA Judging processes are fair, impartial and in accordance with the high standards required for Judging
15.4. The Semi-finalists, Finalists and ultimately the Winners (Titleholders) are chosen yearly by an Independent Selection Committee of esteemed Judges
15.5. The Selection Committee is announced to the contestants ahead of the Judging date/s
15.6. The Judging process for each stage of the competition is discussed and outlined, in detail, with the contestants, ahead of the Judging date/s
15.7. Judging at Semis and Finals stage typically includes Interview and Swimwear judging
15.8. Contestants are required to model in Swimwear, as per International Pageantry regulations
15.9. Swimwear judging occurs during Semi-final Judging (July), and on stage, during the Preliminary Competition (Prelims) & Grand Finale/Crowning event (November)
15.10. Contestants are permitted to wear wraps or sarongs should they wish to do so for their own comfort
15.11. Mrs. SA and Judges embrace women and contestants of all shapes and sizes, as the Mrs. SA program promotes confidence and being comfortable in one’s own skin
15.12. The Finalists who score in the top three (3) places, in the Final Judging (typically November), including the Winner of Mrs. South Africa Pageant, will be contracted to the Mrs. SA organisation for the year of reign, until the next crowning or until she competes at an international pageant, where applicable
15.13. Mrs. South Africa, herself, will become a brand ambassador for Mrs. South Africa’s official sponsors and she will be involved with its official charities, as well as other projects
15.14. Separate to the Official Judging Processes noted, Special Category Awards may be awarded at the Preliminary Competition, in November. These are also overseen by the independent official auditors and is separate to the final scoring process. These awards vary yearly and may include Mrs. Photogenic, Mrs. Public Choice, Mrs. Personality, Social Media award, Women Empowerment Award,
as well as some special category awards from the Mrs. SA Official Sponsors
15.15. The Official Charities may appoint Ambassador/s, an honour awarded to the Finalist/s who raise the most funds and awareness for the respective charity, in a particular year. This is also a special category award, as noted above
15.16. Contestants & Titleholders understand and acknowledge that all prizes are subject to sponsorship, which may vary or change from one competition cycle to the next or annually
15.17. Contestants understand that the Selection Committee (Judges) will not be influenced in any way, whatsoever, by the Mrs. SA Management Team or its vendors, production team, designers, mentors, scouts or any other affiliate or third party
15.18. Contestants understand that no other results will be made available, at any stage, even in future, other than those results made available to the public
15.19. Contestants understands that no correspondence will be entered into with the Mrs. SA Management Team, Auditors, Selection Committee or any other affiliate or third party therewith, at any stage, even in the future, with regards to the Mrs. SA Judging processes, scoring etc.
15.20. Accordingly, contestants understand and agree that there is no right of appeal against the results of Mrs. SA Judging processes, at any stage, even in the future
15.21. Contestants agree to conduct herself in a professional manner, in relation to Mrs. SA, after the Judging results have been made public
15.22. Contestants must not speak negatively or be defamatory about the Selection Committee (Judges), Mrs. SA, official sponsors, official charities or any other affiliate or third party, after the Judging process, on any public platform. This includes but is not limited to whatsapp, any social media platforms, print media, media, radio, television etc.

16. International Pageants
16.1. Mrs. SA has the exclusive rights, in South Africa, to the largest and most prestigious Mrs. Pageants, internationally, which are the Mrs. World pageant, the Mrs. Globe & Mrs Globe Classique
16.2. This means any South African woman wishing to compete in these international pageants will need to enter and place in the Mrs. South Africa competition first
16.3. Any contestant will not enter or cause herself to be entered into participation of Mrs. World and/or Mrs. Globe without the aid and permission of Mrs. South Africa Pty Ltd
16.4. Contestants may not participate in any other pageant or competition that conflicts with Mrs. SA, during her time as a Mrs. SA contestant

17. Contestant Conduct and Disqualification
Mrs. SA reserves the right to disqualify & withdraw any contestant, at any stage. Mrs. SA may choose to exercise this right under the following circumstances:
17.1. Contestant has been found to not meet the entry requirements (refer to Section 8)
17.2. Contestant’s conduct, public image, or general behaviour is not aligned with the values, vision, or professional expectations of the Mrs. SA brand
17.3. Contestant becomes unduly difficult to manage, uncooperative, or otherwise poses a significant challenge to effective management
17.4. Mrs. SA affirms its commitment to non-discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other status protected by South African law. As a public figure and a brand ambassador, contestants may not in any form, discriminate against, including but not limited to, any creed, race, sexual orientation, gender, religion, disability or political organisation. Mrs.
SA reserves the right to withdraw any contestant who does not align to its values in this regard
17.5. Contestants who spread negative rumours, incite fear and unwarranted anxiety in other contestants, or create any type of negative publicity
17.6. Any form of negative allegations, proven true, or negative publicity generated by a Contestant could result in immediate disqualification
17.7. Contestants found to be using bullying, cyber-bullying, defamation or intimidation tactics or any other behaviour not deemed to be aligned to the Mrs. SA ethos and values, within the organisation or in public, will be disqualified with immediate effect
17.8. Contestant has been involved in any past activities that may place Mrs. South Africa, its Pageant and/or organisers in a compromised and/or humiliating light both publicly or privately. These activities include, but are not limited to criminality, prostitution or pornography. Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
17.9. The contestant has a criminal record or is involved in any criminality or any kind. Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
17.10. Contestant fails to meet the contractual requirements to proceed to Judging
17.11. Contestant has not been contactable for a period for six (6) weeks
17.12. The Mrs. SA Management Team, may at their discretion, replace contestants who resign from the pageant, at any stage of the pageant
17.13. Various factors are considered when a replacement contestant is selected, however the primary factor will be the ranking of the individual, as per the last available judging phase, which is obtained from the independent auditors who oversee the judging process. Other factors may impact the selection as well including the individual’s achievements in the pageant
17.14. Mrs. South Africa Pty Ltd reserves the right to conduct background checks on any contestant, in accordance with the prevailing South African laws governing such checks
17.15. Entrants, Semi-finalists and Finalists acknowledge all terms and conditions, entry terms and conditions, as well as Privacy Policy, as per website
17.16. Entrants, Semi-finalists and Finalists commit to meet all terms and conditions
17.17. Contestants’ Personal data will be processed in accordance with POPIA and the Mrs. SA Privacy Policy

18. Entry Requirements
18.1. While Mrs. SA does screen and conduct the relevant checks, it is the contestant’s responsibility to check and ensure compliance with the criteria required. The following pre-requisites which must be fulfilled by contestants to enter Mrs. SA:
18.2. The contestant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa and in possession of a valid South African Identity Document reflecting her gender as female.
18.3. Contestants must be between the ages of 25 and 55, inclusive, and must reach either age 25 or 55 within the calendar year of participation
18.4. The contestant must be legally married in terms of South African law and must provide a valid marriage certificate issued by the South African Department of Home Affairs. In accordance with the Recognition of Customary Marriages Act, 1998, both civil and customary marriages are recognised under South African law. However, the contestant must be in possession of a registered marriage certificate issued by the Department of Home Affairs as proof of legal marriage
18.5. The contestant has valid passport for travel purposes
18.6. If the contestant does not possess a valid passport, she must apply for and obtain one as soon as is reasonably possible. This is because she may need a passport for international competition/s, should she win the Mrs. South Africa Pageant
18.7. Contestant has a valid South African Driver’s License 
18.8. If the contestant does not possess a valid South African Drivers Licence, she must apply for and obtain one as soon as is reasonably possible. This is because the prize package may include a car, should she win the Mrs. South Africa pageant
18.9. Should the entrant be selected as Semi-finalist or Finalist, she will be required to avail herself on all compulsory dates, as indicated on the Official Calendar. The format and details of these compulsory event dates is outlined in this manual
18.10. Contestants should not be, nor become, pregnant during the Mrs. South Africa journey. While the organisation celebrates and supports family values and does not discriminate against pregnancy, participation in the programme and international competitions is physically demanding and could pose risks to both the contestant and the unborn child. The health and well-being of both remain a priority
18.11. The contestant must not have been involved in any past or present activities – whether public or private – that may place Mrs. South Africa, its Pageant and/or organisers in a compromised and/or humiliating light. These activities include, but are not limited to criminality, prostitution or pornography.
Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
18.12. The contestant must not have a past or present criminal record or be involved in any criminality or any kind. Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
18.13. There are no height or weight restrictions for entry
18.14. Tattoos are permitted
18.15. There is no minimum educational requirement for entry and thus all educational backgrounds are welcome
18.16. Prior modelling or pageant experience is not a requirement for entry
18.17. The contestant must not be an immediate family member of the Mrs. South Africa Management Team
18.18. Certified documents may be requested at any stage to verify the contestant’s eligibility to participate in the pageant
18.19. Should a contestant separate, divorce or become widowed during her year of participation in the pageant, she must notify the Mrs. South Africa Management Team immediately. She will not be withdrawn and may continue in her year of entry
18.20. Further entry terms and conditions will be published on Mrs South Africa website when entries officially open later this year, for 2026

  • It is important to understand that Mrs. South Africa is Proprietary Limited company i.e. Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd, hereafter referred to as “Mrs. SA”
  • SA is not a charity, Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), or Non-Profit Organisation (NPO). Therefore Mrs. SA is not authorised to issue 18A certificates for any payments made to them, including ticket sales.
  • South Africa prides itself on strict adherence to all government rules and regulations.
  • The Mrs South Africa organisation’s Board of Directors ensures corporate governance and ethics
  • The Mrs South Africa platform is positioned as a “PR vehicle” for Contestants & Brands, who derive a substantial return on investments from these partnerships
  • SA operates primarily on asponsorship-based business model. This means the company partners with other businesses or organisations that provide financial support (sponsorship) in exchange for exposure, advertising, or other benefits. The company also generates its income through events. This could mean that in addition to financial support from sponsors, Mrs. SA also organises events that generates income.
  • This income is used to cover the costs of running the development program, providing training and upskilling for contestants as well as operational costs, event costs and production costs
    The income generated through sponsorships and events is used to cover various expenses that support the organisation and management of the development program. These expenses include:
  • Development Program Costs: The income helps fund the program that provides contestants with the resources, training, and support needed to grow and develop throughout the competition or initiative.
  • Training and Upskilling: The program likely includes workshops, seminars, or other educational opportunities aimed at improving contestants’ skills, whether it’s in their personal development, business acumen, or a specific area related to the competition.
  • Operational Costs: This refers to the day-to-day expenses of running the program and the organisation, including staffing, office supplies, and other overheads.
  • Event Costs: This covers the expenses associated with hosting events such as venue rentals, catering, staff, and other logistics.
  • Production Costs: Production costs would cover the filming, editing, broadcasting, and associated technical requirements of the events
  • South Africa prides itself on transparency and professionalism. Therefore, the journey and contestant requirements & targets is outlined, in detail, up front to all contestants
  • The contestants are then able to make an informed decision on whether to enter the program or not – fully informed about the journey they have chosen to embark on
  • The Mrs. South Africa Brand Pillars of Self Development, Community Work, Networking & the Mrs. SA Platform, highlight all aspects of the program & pageant
  • There is a focus on business skills and life skills, which extends far beyond the Mrs. South Africa journey
  • Contestants are exposed to the wealth of knowledge from Mrs. South Africa, it’s official sponsors, its associates, other subject matter experts, throughout the curriculum
  • South Africa provides extensive training, upskilling workshops and webinars, in becoming successful influencers, brand ambassadors and entrepreneurs
  • A structured curriculum is provided to contestant’s as they embark on their journey
  • During each phase of the competition, contestants will be expected to raise a certain amount of sponsorship, towards their journey within the Mrs SA organisation
  • South Africa also provides contestants with tools, such as professional sponsorship proposals and media kits, for them to use in approaching companies and media
  • The proposal offers potential Silver and Gold Sponsors the opportunity to gain additional exposure on our platforms and at our events, and offer them a significant return on investments from these partnerships
  • South Africa always works with contestants to allow them the maximum time possible to achieve their targets and requirements and provides the tools necessary, to achieve these goals
  • The Mrs South Africa Management Team provides continuous guidance and mentorship to contestants, throughout their journey
  • The Mrs. South Africa Management Team endeavours to work one-on-one with its contestants
  • Finalists will work with a dedicated wellness manager on a one-on-one basis, regularly
  • An Official Mentorship Panel is available should contestants require more direct 1:1 coaching. However, this is not compulsory to utilise. A fee will be payable to the mentor for her time and expertise
  • Although the mentorship program is endorsed by Mrs. SA, Mrs. SA does not benefit financially from this independent program. Mentor details are available on the website
  • Contestants will be exposed to Mrs. SA’s official charity organisations and other various community projects
  • Contestants will have the opportunity to effect change within their communities, through the Mrs South Africa platform
  • Entries typically open at the end of the prior year and close at the end January of the current year
  • All entries are screened by Mrs. South Africa to ensure they meet the minimum requirements for participation
  • Eligible contestants are invited to a National Casting, typically late January or early February, where the Semi-finalists are chosen for the year
  • Following the Semi-finals Judging Process, typically in July, the Semi-finalists are narrowed down to Top Thirty (30) Finalists
  • Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd are pursuing the possibility of a docuseries which may impact the Finalist’s stage of the Journey. More information around this will be shared in due course
  • The Crowning is typically held in November of each year, where the new titleholders are chosen from the pool of Finalists

The requirements that contestants are obliged to achieve are as follows:

  • Contestants are expected to work in a positive and professional manner with the Mrs. SA Management Team, with adherence to the operating guidelines shared
  • Semi-finalists need to gain a Silver Sponsorship towards their journey
  • Finalists need to gain a Gold Sponsorship towards their journey
  • South Africa cap’s the Silver & Gold Sponsorship amounts that contestants contribute towards their journey, to ensure all contestants enter judging on an equal footing. Ultimately, the Mrs. South Africa Crown is not for sale
  • Contestants are expected to sell tickets for Mrs. South Africa events
  • Contestants are involved in marketing of Mrs. South Africa’s Official Sponsors
  • During the Finalists stages of the competition, a finalist will host a fundraiser for one of Mrs SA’s official charities. After South Africa’s operational costs are covered for managing the fundraising project, the proceeds are then donated to the official charities, at end of the campaign. Thirty percent (30%) is retained for Mrs. South Africa’s operational costs noted above and seventy percent (70%) i.e. the majority, is donated to the charities. Mrs. South Africa is delighted to share the official handovers for prior fundraising campaigns, which can be viewed on Mrs. SA TV (Youtube)
  • The Semi-finalist will bear the cost of her travel, accommodation, meals, outfits, hair and makeup, throughout her journey as a Semi-finalist, as there are over a hundred contestants at this stage.
  • South Africa covers the accommodation and meals during the Top 30 Finalist stage of the competition, subject to sponsorship
  • During the Finalist stages of the competition, travel will be to the Finalist’s own cost
  • The Winners are chosen yearly by an Independent Selection Committee of esteemed Judges
  • South Africa follows a strictly audited Judging process, overseen seen by independent auditors, PKF Octagon. PKF Octagon have been appointed to oversee the judging process at the National Casting, Semi-final Judging & Final Judging. PKF Octagon verify that the Mrs. SA Judging processes are fair, impartial and in accordance with the high standards required for Judging
  • The Judging process for each stage of the competition is discussed, in detail, with the contestants, well ahead of the Judging date/s
  • Contestants are required to model in swimwear, as per International Pageantry regulations during Semi-final Judging, Finals Judging and on stage, during the Preliminary Competition (Prelims) & Grand Finale/ Crowning event
  • SA and the Selection Committee embraces women of all shapes and sizes. The Mrs. SA program promotes confidence and being comfortable in one’s own skin
  • The Finalists who score in the Top Three (3) places, in the Final Judging, including the Winner of Mrs. South Africa Pageant, will be contracted to the Mrs. SA organisation for the year of reign, until the next crowning or until she competes at an international pageant, where applicable
  • South Africa, herself, will become a brand ambassador for Mrs. South Africa’s official sponsors and she will be involved with its official charities, as well as other projects
  • Contestants understand and acknowledge that all prizes are subject to sponsorship, which may vary or change from one competition cycle to the next or annually.
  • Independent to the Official Judging Process noted, some Special Category Awards may be awarded, as well, on a yearly basis. These are also overseen by the independent official auditors and is separate to the official Final Judging process. These awards vary yearly and may include Mrs. Photogenic, Mrs.  Public Choice, Mrs.  Personality, Social Media award, Women Empowerment Award and some special awards from Mrs. SA Official Sponsors
  • The Official Charities also select Ambassador/s, which is awarded to the Finalist/s who raises the most of amount of funds and awareness, for that charity, in a particular year. This is also a special category award, as noted above
  • Contestants, Semi-finalists and Finalists understand that the Judges’ decisions are Final
  • Contestants, Semi-finalists and Finalists understand that other than the Judging results announced on stage, no other results will be made available, at any point in time
  • Contestants, Semi-finalists and Finalists understand that no correspondence will be entered into with the Selection Committee (Judges), Auditors, Mrs. SA Management Team or any other associates/affiliates therewith, at any point in time, even in future, with regards to the Mrs. SA Judging process/es
  • Accordingly, there is no right of appeal against the results of Mrs. SA Judging processes, at any stage
  • South Africa is run according to International Pageant Standards. Mrs. South Africa has the exclusive rights, in South Africa, to the largest and most prestigious Mrs.  Pageants internationally which are the Mrs.  World pageant and the Mrs.  Globe pageant. This means any South African woman wishing to compete in these international pageants will need to enter and place in the Mrs. South Africa competition first
  • Any contestant will not enter or cause herself to be entered into participation of Mrs. World and/or Mrs. Globe without the aid and permission of Mrs. South Africa Pty Ltd
  • South Africa Pty Ltd reserves the right to conduct background checks on any contestant, in accordance with the prevailing laws governing such checks, in South Africa
  • The Mrs. South Africa Management Team, may at their discretion, replace contestants who resign from the pageant, at any stage of the pageant. Various factors are considered when a replacement contestant is selected, however the primary factor will be the ranking of the individual, as per the last available judging phase, which is obtained from the independent auditors who oversee the judging process. Other factors may impact the selection as well including the individual’s achievements in the pageant
  • South Africa Pty Ltd reserves the right to withdraw any contestant, at any time, has not contactable for a period for six (6) weeks and/or who does not meet the entry criteria
  • South Africa reserves the right to add or remove events from its official calendar as it deems fit
  • Contestants acknowledge and understand that any monies paid to Mrs. SA or official charities, prior to resignation or withdrawal, are non-refundable at any stage

1. MRS SOUTH AFRICA GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1. The Mrs South Africa Brand Pillars of Self Development, Community Work, Networking & the Mrs SA Platform, noted on the website, highlight all aspects of the program & pageant.
1.2. Mrs South Africa provides extensive training, upskilling workshops and webinars, in becoming successful influencers, brand ambassadors and entrepreneurs, as well as how to secure sponsors.
1.3. There is also a focus on business and life skills which extends far beyond the Mrs South Africa journey.
1.4. Contestants are also exposed to the wealth of knowledge from Official Sponsors and other Mrs South Africa associates, during the program.
1.5. Contestants will also be exposed to the official charity organisations (SAACA, CANSA & FAMPRO), with their community projects and therefore have the chance to make a difference.
1.6. Mrs South Africa also provides contestants with tools, such as professional sponsorship proposals and media kits, for them to use in approaching companies and media.
1.7. The proposal offers contestants’ potential gold and silver sponsors the opportunity to gain additional exposure on our platforms and at our events
1.8. As a registered and trademarked company, Mrs South Africa utilises a sponsorship business model and derives its income from sponsorship, fundraising and events.
1.9. This income is used to cover the costs of running the development program, providing training and upskilling for contestants as well as operational, event costs and production costs.
1.10.It is important to understand that Mrs South Africa is Proprietary Limited company i.e. Pty Ltd. Mrs South Africa is NOT a non-profit organisation (NPO) or public benefit organisation (PBO).
1.11. As a company, Mrs South Africa has monthly overheads like any other operational company. Mrs South Africa prides itself on strict adherence to all government rules and regulations, including any prevailing COVID-19 regulations.
1.12. Mrs South Africa prides itself on transparency and professionalism Therefore, the journey and contestant requirements & targets is outlined, in detail, up front to all contestants.
1.13. The contestants are then able to make an informed decision on whether to enter the program or not, fully aware and informed about the journey they have chosen to embark on.
1.14. During each phase of the competition, contestants will be expected to raise a certain amount of sponsorship.
1.15. Mrs South Africa always works with contestants to allow them the maximum time possible to achieve their targets and requirements and Mrs South Africa also provides all the tools necessary, to achieve these goals.
1.16. An Official Mentorship Panel is available should contestants require more direct 1:1 coaching. However, this is not compulsory to utilise.
1.17. Entries opened 1st November 2023 and will close Monday 29th January 2023 17h00. No late entries will be accepted.
1.18. All entries are screened by Mrs South Africa to ensure they meet the minimum requirements, for entry & participation.
1.19. Eligible contestants will be invited to a Live National Casting, on Friday 2nd February 2023, in Gauteng, where the 2024 Semi-finalists will be chosen.
1.20. The 2024 Semi-finalists will be narrowed down to thirty finalists, after Semi-finals Judging process in July 2024.
1.21. The 2024 Crowning will be held in November 2024, where the new titleholders are chosen.
1.22. The requirements, that the contestants are obliged to achieve, are as follows:
1.22.1. Contestants are expected to work in a positive and professional manner with the Management Team, with adherence to the operating guidelines shared
1.22.2. Semi-finalists need to gain a Silver Sponsorship towards their journey.
1.22.3. Finalists need to gain a Gold Sponsorship towards their journey.
1.22.4. Mrs South Africa cap’s the Gold and Silver sponsorship amounts, that contestants contribute towards their journey, within the program, to ensure all contestants enter judging on an equal footing. Ultimately, the Mrs South Africa Crown is not for sale.
1.22.5. Contestants are expected to sell tickets for Mrs South Africa events.
1.22.6. Contestants are involved in marketing of Mrs South Africa’s Official Sponsors.
1.22.7. During the finalist stages of the competition, each finalist is required on to host one fundraiser, for one of the official charities, SAACA (South Africa Animal Cancer Association) and CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa). After Mrs South Africa’s operational costs are covered for managing the fundraising project, the majority of the proceeds i.e. 70% are then donated to the official charities, at end of the campaign.

1.23. During the semi-finalist stages of the competition, accommodation and travel will be to the contestant’s own cost.
1.24. Mrs South Africa covers accommodation costs during the Finalist stage of the competition, subject to sponsorship.
1.25. Mrs South Africa is run according to International Pageant Standards, and has the exclusive rights to the largest and most prestigious Mrs Pageants internationally i.e. Mrs World and Mrs Globe.
1.26. The new titleholders are chosen by an independent Selection Committee, of esteemed Judges.
1.27. Mrs South Africa follows a strictly audited Judging process, overseen seen by independent auditors, PKF Octagon. They have been appointed to oversee the judging process and verify that the Mrs. SA Judging processes are fair, impartial and in accordance with the high standards required for Judging.
1.28. The Judging process for each stage of the competition is discussed, in advance, with the contestants.
1.29. Contestants will be required to model in swimwear, as per International Pageantry regulations during Semis Judging, Preliminary Competition and during the final Crowning event. We embrace women of all shapes and sizes, and our program promotes confidence and being comfortable in your own skin.
1.30. The Finalists who score in the Top Three, during the final judging process in pageant week 2024 will be contracted to the organisation for the year of reign, until the next crowning or date of international pageant in which they may compete.
1.31. Mrs South Africa, herself, will become an brand ambassador for Mrs South Africa’s Official Sponsors and will be involved with our Official Charities, as well as other projects.
1.32. Contestants understand and acknowledge that all prizes received are subject to sponsorship and may change from time to time.
1.33. Independent to the Official Judging Process noted, special category awards are awarded as well on a yearly basis, which are also overseen by our official. auditors and is separate the to the official judging. These awards may vary annually but often includes Mrs Photogenic, Mrs Public Choice, Mrs Personality etc. 
1.34. The Official charities also select Ambassador, which is awarded to the Finalist who raises the most of amount of funds and awareness, for that charity.
1.35. Contestants understand that the Judges’ decisions are Final.
1.36. Other than the results announced on stage, no other results will be made available, at any other stage.
1.37. No correspondence will be entered into with the Selection Committee, Auditors, Mrs. SA Management Team or any other associates/affiliates therewith, at any stage, even in future, with regards to the Mrs SA Judging processes.
1.38. Accordingly, there is no right of appeal against the results of Mrs SA Judging processes, at any stage.
1.39. Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd reserves the right to withdraw any contestant, at any time, who does not uphold the values or ethos of the organisation.
1.40. Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd reserves the right to conduct background checks on any contestant in accordance with the laws governing such checks in South Africa.
1.41.The Mrs South Africa Management Team, may also, at their discretion, replace contestants who resign from the pageant, at any stage of the pageant.

2. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE COMPETITION

2.1. ENTRY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2.1. All entrants are required to acknowledge that they have read and understand the Mrs. South Africa’s Terms and Conditions, noted above, prior to entry
2.2. Entries are open and will close on Monday 29th January 2024 17h00. No late entries will be considered

2.2. PRE-REQUISITES FOR ENTRY

While Mrs. South Africa does screen and conduct the relevant checks, it is the contestant’s responsibility to check and ensure compliance with the criteria required. All the following pre-requisites which must be fulfilled in order to enter Mrs. South Africa:

  • The contestant has a valid South Africa Identity Document and is a citizen or permanent resident within the Republic of South Africa, with their indicated gender as female
  • The contestant is between the ages of 25 and 55 and should be turning 25 or 55 years of age in 2024
  • The contestant is legally married in terms of the laws of the Republic of South Africa and in possession of a valid marriage certificate, issued by the South African Department of Home Affairs
  • The contestant has valid passport for travel purposes
  • If the contestant does not possess a valid passport, she must apply for and obtain one as soon as is reasonably possible. This is because she may need a passport for international competition/s, should she win the Mrs. South Africa Pageant
  • Contestant has a valid South African Driver’s Licence
  • If the contestant does not possess a valid South African Drivers Licence, she must apply for and obtain one as soon as is reasonably possible. This is because the prize package may include a car, should she win the Mrs. South Africa pageant
  • Should the entrant be selected as Semi-finalist or Finalist in 2024, she will be required to avail herself on all compulsory dates, as indicated on the 2024 Calendar. The format and details of these compulsory event dates will be shared, with contestants, closer to the time
  • The contestant should not be or fall pregnant during the journey. Mrs. South Africa promotes and encourages family values and Mrs. South Africa does not discriminate against pregnancy, it will be physically strenuous for both the contestant (and foetus) to compete in Mrs. South Africa, and at an international level, if she wins Mrs. South Africa while maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Mrs. South Africa would not want to jeopardise the contestant (or foetus) health
  • The contestant must not have been involved in any past activities that may place Mrs. South Africa, its Pageant and/or organisers in a compromised and/or humiliating light both publicly or privately. These activities include, but are not limited to criminality, prostitution, nude public appearances, nude photography and nude videography. Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
  • The contestant must not have a past or present criminal record or be involved in any criminality or any kind. Should this come to light, Mrs. South Africa reserves the right to withdraw the contestant, with immediate effect
  • Should a contestant separate, divorce or become widowed during her participation in the pageant, she must notify the Mrs. South Africa Management Team immediately. She will not be withdrawn and may continue in her year of entry
  • The contestant must not be an immediate family member of the Mrs. South Africa Management Team
  • The contestant may be any height or weight as this is not restricted, as a condition for entry
  • The contestant may or may not have tattoos, as this is not restricted
  • The contestant may have any educational background
  • The contestant does not need to have prior modelling or pageant experience 

2.3. COMPLETION OF THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM

2.3.1. In order to enter, entrants will need to complete all six steps:
1.  Read the Mrs. SA terms and conditions, these Entry Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy 
2.  Complete the online entry form, on this website and answer all the questions. There will not be any ‘manual or hard copy’ entry forms
3. Attach two high resolution photos, to the online entry form
4. Attach a clear copy of a valid SA ID & a clear copy of a valid SA Marriage certificate
5. Review the Mrs. South Africa Calendar for 2024 and Contestant FAQ’s on the website
6. Pay the non-refundable entry fee of R650, which includes 15% VAT, via Payfast or EFT. Online entries will not be processed if payment has not been made. Proof of payment must be emailed to

2.3.2. Successful online entry will be confirmed by a website-generated confirmation email to the entrant’s specified email address
2.3.3. Thereafter, entrants will also receive an email from the Mrs. South Africa Management team, which will outline the next steps 
2.3.4. A valid operational email address must be provided, in order for Mrs. South Africa to communicate with all entrants. Mrs. South Africa Pty Ltd will not be held responsible for communications not received due to in-operational email addresses
2.3.5. All cancellations or withdrawal of entry must be submitted, in writing, to Chief Operating Officer, Marlene Reddy-Ribeiro on marlene@mrssouthafrica.co.za

2.3.6. **NB The act of completing and submitting the online entry form constitutes a binding agreement acknowledging that all the above, as well the Mrs. South Africa’s Terms and Conditions, Entry Terms and conditions & Privacy Policy, noted on website, has been read, understood, and accepted, in full, by the Entrant, prior to entry

2.4. ENTRY FEE

2.4.1. The entry fee is R650 per entrant, and this includes 15% VAT 
2.4.2. The entry fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded to the entrant, even if they withdraw their application
2.4.3. This is payable via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) OR deposit at Standard bank OR on the online payment portal i.e. Pay fast

2.5. PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS

2.5.1. Entrants must attach two clear, high resolution photos to their online application. This must be one full length photo and one head and shoulders photo
2.5.2. This does not need to be professional photos

2.5.3. Photos should be:
• One head & shoulders photo and one full length photo
• High resolution, in .jpeg or .png format
• Entrant must be dressed in simple daywear
• Entrant must be positioned against plain background and standing alone
• Recent photo, from the past year

2.5.4. Photos must NOT be:
• Entrant’s wedding photos or ‘Selfies’ or 
• Entrant in dress up costumes, gym wear or active wear or
• Entrant with other people or ccreenshots from social media or

2.6. NATIONAL CASTING: 2nd FEBRUARY 2024, GAUTENG

2.6.1. All entry forms will be screened by the Mrs. South Africa Management Team
2.6.2. Based on this, Mrs. South Africa will likely host a National Casting on Friday 2nd February 2024, in Gauteng
2.6.3. All qualifying entrants will be invited to the National Casting and they must avail themselves in person, in order to be considered for a place as a Semi-finalist, for 2024
2.6.4. No virtual attendance will be allowed
2.6.5. At this casting, Entrants will be interviewed, in person
2.6.6. From this pool, the 2024 Semi-finalists will be chosen
2.6.7. More details will follow in early 2024, from the Mrs. South Africa Management Team

2.7. SEMI-FINALIST WORKSHOP: 3rd – 4th FEBRUARY 2024, GAUTENG

2.7.1. A Semi-finalist Workshop, over two full days i.e. Saturday 3th and Sunday 4th February 2024, will take place in Gauteng
2.7.2. This is compulsory for all successful semi-finalists
2.7.3. This is to prepare all Semi-finalists for the journey ahead, as well as to upskill and empower them
2.7.4. All Semi-finalists must attend, in person. Virtual attendance will not be allowed
2.7.5. The dress code is “Pageant casual” which is smart day wear
2.7.6. The final times and itineraries will follow in early 2024. Generally they start quite early and end late each day
2.7.7. All travel and accommodation during the entry and Semi-finalist stages are to the entrant’s own account

2.8. SOCIAL MEDIA 

2.8.1. We encourage entrants to follow Mrs South Africa on all the social media platforms and links can be found on our home page.

2.9. QUERIES

3.TERMS OF WEBSITE USE

3.1. Electronic Communications

3.1.1. The provider uses a compliant and secure mailing system in order to communicate pertinent and relevant competition, official sponsor and/or marketing information to contestants
3.1.2. Mrs South Africa Pty Ltd will email contestants but will always provide an opt-out mechanism allowing entrants to unsubscribe easily and safely from the email database, if required
3.1.3. However, the entrant should communicate with the Mrs South Africa office and find an acceptable channel for professional and secure communication
3.1.4. By using this website or communicating with the provider by electronic means, the user consents and acknowledges that any, and all agreements, notices, disclosures, or any other communication satisfies any legal requirement, including but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be in writing.

3.2. Privacy

3.2.1. The website mrssouthafrica.co.za may provide access, at its discretion, to any data stored on its systems in the interest of the party providing the personal information
3.2.2. Documents such as ID’s, marriage certificates, drivers licences, passports etc are collected during the competition process, for purposes of verifying eligibility to enter, as well as for prize and travel purposes
3.2.3. The confidential personal information required for executing the competition processes is stored on a secure platform, namely the user’s personal, contact and address information. Delivery address and telephone numbers will be kept in the strictest confidence by the provider and not sold or made known to anonymous third parties, without consent
3.2.4. Only the necessary information, that is the delivery address and contact phone number will be made known to third parties delivering any pageant related items or products, where courier services may be required, or in order to promote the user in the realm of professional interest. The provider will supply all goods to the delivery company in good order. The Provider will not be held liable for the condition of goods arriving at the user’s chosen delivery address
3.2.5. Banking or credit card details are not collected or stored by the provider under any circumstances
3.2.6. The provider cannot be held responsible for security breaches occurring on the user’s electronic device (personal computer or other electronic device used to browse the website), which may result due to the lack of adequate virus protection software or spyware that the user may inadvertently have installed on his/her device.

3.3. Online Payments
3.3.1. Any payments retrieved on our website are processed by third-party authorised financial service providers like PayFast. More information about how they process and store information can be viewed on their websites respectively: www.payfast.co.za
