Meet Mrs South Africa 2022, Jo Judnick-Wilson

Picture1Jo Judnick-Wilson (40) from Johannesburg has been crowned the new Mrs South Africa this past weekend at Emperors Palace.

Fondly known as “JoziMom”, the mom of two is an entrepreneur and content creator with a Bachelors degree in Communication Science.

Roxy van Bruwaene (39) from Emalahleni is the first runner-up with Michelle Forsyth (29) from Cape Town as the second runner-up. Judy Bloomfield (42) was awarded Mrs Charity 2021

As part of the Mrs South Africa program, the finalists underwent a 6-month journey focused on self-development, becoming a voice of change within their communities, and showing up as the strong, influential women they are to create a positive domino effect throughout South Africa to empower women beyond just the Mrs SA platform.

As always, the Mrs South Africa organization continues to celebrate diversity and develop brave, bold, bonafide women and this year we have an incredibly strong group of finalists. We are excited to welcome Jo to our Mrs SA sisterhood.

The selection committee that had the difficult task of selecting the new Mrs South Africa, consisted of Mrs World 2019 runner-up Matapa Maila, television presenter Dr Fezile Mkhize, PR Guru Madelain Roscher, former Miss SA Tansey Coetzee, television personality Lebo Mokoena and former Mrs South Africa, Marelize Steyn-Earle.

The show was hosted by award-winning tv and radio host, Pearl Modiadie and a spectacular showcase of South African talent and beauty.

More about Jo Judnick-Wilson

She is fondly known as “Jozimom”. Jo is 40 years old and lives in Johannesburg, Gauteng, the melting pot of South Africa. She is an entrepreneur, business owner, content creator, avid photographer, founder of “Build Her Tomorrow” and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science.  She has 2 children with her husband David, to whom she has been happily married for 16 years. In her spare time, she likes to be creative. She is always inspired by a new challenge. You will either find her amidst a home DIY projects; with sand under her fingernails in the garden landscaping; paint brush and watercolour set in hand, creating art or studying and mastering a new skill set. A trip to the bushveld is her favourite kind of ‘soul food’. Her family has always been my number one priority and their motto is ‘Life is an adventure or nothing at all’.

Roxy van Bruwaene 1st Princess 2022

She is 39 years old, and lives in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga. She is the Marketing Manager of two of our family-owned Engineering firms. She owns her own Wine Label called Rare Diamond and they are currently in the process of bottling our first Methode Cap Classique. She holds two degrees, one Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Communication in Advertising. She also completed her WSET (Wine Spirits and Education Trust) level 3. She has 3 children with her spouse Jacques Van Bruwaene to whom she has been happily married for almost 13 years. In my spare time, she loves spending time with friend and family in the outdoors, usually on the water, Jet-skiing, and boating.

 

Michelle Forsyth 2nd Princess 2022

She is 29 years old and lives in Cape Town, Western Cape. She has been a professional model since the age of 15 and has met the most incredible, diverse and interesting people, throughout her career. She has 3 kids with husband Ike Forsyth, to whom she has been married to for 4 years. In her spare time, she likes to teach my children how to plant and grow food. She also volunteers at community gardens. She is passionate about creating a sustainable future for her family, by living off the land. She strives to teach others the importance of this so that they can sustain themselves and their communities. 

 

 

 

Judy Bloomfield Mrs Charity 2022

She is 42 years old and live in Kempton Park, Johannesburg and has a diploma in PR & Marketing and more recently qualified as a Culinary Chef. She is the co-owner of Ridgeway Rooftop Grill/Bar, as well as Owner & Director of Just Bloom & Co Culinary. She is the proud founder of Tannah's Gift, a charity established in 2013, raising money for underprivileged families affected by cleft lip and palate defects. She has also proudly partnered with the Netcare Foundation. She has two children, with her spouse Grant Bloomfield, to whom she has been married to for 16 years. In her spare time, she enjoys a round of golf and reading but most of it is spent cheering on their race-team from the side-line of the motocross track. She enjoys traveling, adventure and a large circle of friends.
